Joyce M. Corbett
The death of Joyce Marion Corbett of Sussex occurred at the Sussex
Health Centre on February 14, 2010 at the age of 70. She was the wife
of the late Claude J.K. Corbett who passed away January 3, 2009. Born
at Sussex, Joyce was a daughter of the late Alvin and Grace
(Armstrong) Hawkes. She is survived by children; Joanne Teakles
(Brian MacDonald) of Sussex, Connie Bustin of Saint John, Jack
(Coleen) Corbett of Smiths Creek, Debbie (Douglas) Murray of
Picadilly, David (Julie) Corbett of Sussex and son-in-law John Teakles
of New Line, fourteen grandchildren; Jocelyn Teakles and Heather (Ian)
MacKay; Jill, Courtney and Hilary Bustin; Jonathan, Molly and Carrie
Corbett; William, Cassandra and Jessica Murray; Sam, Rachel and Jack
Corbett and two great grandchildren Sara and Carter, her sister Carol
Branscombe of Sussex, brother-in-law Hugh Morrow of Burton, NB,
sisters-in-law Greta (Walter) Polley of Sussex and Laura (Garfield)
Morrow of Roachville, three nieces and two nephews. In addition to
her husband Claude and her parents, Joyce was predeceased by an infant
sister Thelma Hawkes and sister Lorna Morrow.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex at 2:00PM. Interment will be at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Waterford at a later date. Donations made to St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, the Diabetic Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
